JULY FARM PARTY AND POTLUCK DINNER! Saturday the 5th, 3pm until dark

 Hello farm friends,

We had such a great time hanging out with you all at the June potluck that we're doing it again, this Saturday, July 5th.  As before, the farm stand will be open at the farm starting at 3:00pm, and the potluck will start at 5:30.  There will be farm tours, fresh farm produce for sale, animals to visit, and a fermentation demo!  See below for more info.  .

Feel free to stop by for drinks and hors d'oeuvres.  If you'd like to join us for the potluck too, please bring...
  • A dish and/or beverage to share, or something to throw on the grill
  • Dishes and cutlery for you and your family

  • Multicolored String Beans - $3.50 quart
  • Napa Cabbage - $2.50 each
  • Cilantro - $1.50 bunch
  • Dill - $1.50 bunch
  • Garlic Scapes - 3/$1.00
  • Kale - $2.50 bunch
  • Kohlrabi - $1.00 each
  • Lettuce - $2.50 head
  • Radishes - $2.00 bunch
  • Rainbow Chard - $2.50 bunch
  • Scallions - $2.50 bunch

This month's farm party has a guest chef!  Jane Weaver, of Asheville, North Carolina, will be demonstrating how we can preserve fresh summer veggies through lacto-fermentation.  Fermented foods have numerous health benefits, the process is easy and straightforward, and it requires only things you probably already have in your kitchen.  Stop by to learn about lacto-fermented sauerkraut and other goodies, and take home a sample.

From the Lawrenceville campus, take 206 North toward Princeton.  After the intersection with Cold Soil Road, you will see the community gardens on your right-hand side.  Turn into the community gardens, and follow the road back and to the left.  If you reach the intersection with Carter Road, you've gone too far.

Happy 4th of July, and we hope to see you on Saturday!
